Mswyrr: numerous people on tumblr have been global southern women, and not just ”people who know nothing but condemn those in military at the computer.”
You can’t just say tell people to criticize the military-industrial complex, but try to silence people from being critical of things like how there have been female soldiers who committed sexual assaults against men of color abroad, as well as ruined their homes. Case example, the case of images of the female soldier, Pvt. Lynndie England, sexually abusing Iraqi male prisoners at Abu Ghraib. People don’t forget shit like that.
And you may have been victimized by patriarchal and middle-class men, but this does not mean you are always the victim here. And to act like you are just for not being seen as icon of ”feminism.” Lol. Get over yourself.
Leila Khaled and other global southern women’s rights activists deserve far more recognition than pitiful women who enter the imperialist military institution (handmaidens of imperialism!)
